Thank you for that great pack I will use it for my new mobile game

thanks, good luck brother :)

Very good resources, but I think we still need the characters' underwater movements

thanks! the next update will feature new animations, but it will take some time :P

I want to ask where the texture of the grass is, but I have been searching for a long time without finding it, even though I have bought the 1.8 version material pack

Deleted 17 days ago

the zip file now contains the FREE UPDATE as well.

small mistake of my part for not putting there before...

Okay, then I'll wait for the next update. Keep it up

Are the little smoke animations when running, jumping, etc in the pack somewhere?

yes, it is in the Effects folder

Hi! Your resources for creating a Metroidvania are incredible, and I really like them. What style of color palette do you use?

thank you!

i use more of the analogous type of pallette and the zughy 32 with some adjustments :)

Hi! Your assets look really good and I’m interested in commissioning some custom work for a game project in the future.

I don’t have the budget for it right now, but I wanted to ask if your commissions are currently open and if you take game asset commissions?

It depends, i can not work for free, but i am open to commission.

yes of course not for free okay thank you and your art is so cool good job

thank you! :)

Hello !! Great asset pack, I've stumbled upon your art to add to my little game I've wanted to make and I am absolutely loving it !! Especially the art style it just piques my interest !! I am just wondering though, was the download link been updated with the new additions? I can't seem to find the ones especially the: arch corridor, eye monster,  wooden biome, purple box monster. Not that big of a deal though, just wondering! Anyways, keep up the good work and keep doing what you love to do !!

EDIT: I FOUND THEM, it's in the updates !! Thank you you so so much !!!

thank you very much for the kind words!

the demo also has 3 unique levels :)

If your thinking of making a new enemy, try a plant enemy the lashes at you with vines.

yeah, cool idea!

but i dont know when i will update the pack

life is fucked up sometimes

How would you set the tiles up to autotile? Also, are the tiles 8x8 or 16x16?

the tiles will vary in size, the file will show the dimensions

Thank you for your creativity and dedication to your craft!

thank you very much!

Nice asset pack. Hope you add more UI element and some animation like drinking potion or using spell

thank you, maybe on the next update

thank god i bought this pack while it was "free"

sometimes i will distribute for free...

i need the money tho

I used this pack for my game jam entry to Solo Development Jam #5. Thank you so much for your hard work.

Congratulations! thank you for using it and make a game with it :D

Working on a Gnomo boss encounter! Can’t wait to build out some more. Fantastic pack.

(2 edits)

yo thats so sool!

i didnt even think gnomo would work as a boss lol, but i like it :)

congrats, i am eager to see your progress using my pack

Great pack, I made little demo with your assets for my 'introduction to gamedev' classes.

thanks, it would be nice to see a link for that :P

It’s pretty raw.. hope you enjoy it :B

https://github.com/pieandcoffe/domamagica/releases/tag/demo

how cute! hehe

if you see anything wrong do tell me ok

everything just fine, I love your art. btw I found pretty handy to make an atlases from separate animations. so I have everything in one png. having that it’s easy to store in engine, I also generating normal and specular maps from atlases to achieve cute lights effect. this software does the great job https://azagaya.itch.io/laigter

i noticed that! very nice

that was the idea because i can not draw or animate a light spectrum lol

i can do that with a texture, but it will only apply for a 3d game, i guess...

Beautiful pack, I hope you will add more enemies and bosses. Great work!

thank you!

well...

expect a big update soon

Good, I'm very curious :-)

PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Is there any way we can contact you?

Hey this is a nice pack but you should really consider having a consistent frame size for the character.

what do you mean?

Sorry about the delay I only just spotted your reply.

Im using Godot, but I believe this is also an issue in other engines such as Unity etc.

When creating the player character object the sprite frames have a pivot point defined, typically for me I would place it somewhere around the centre on the x and at the bottom of the y,  basically at the feet.  By having the attack frames larger than the walking/idle etc it means the sprite shifts over to the side when playing the larger framed anims. This can be solved via code by using an offset depending on what animation is playing, its not a massive problem but its a bit fiddly and can be entirely avoided by using a constant frame size. As these are very small images any additional size added is nothing to worry about from a resource point of view and far easier to work with. So having every frame be say 32x16 means they are ready to use straight off with no additional steps during runtime. So for anyone that downloads your pack to use they must choose one of 2 routes.. That being to resize all frames to the same, essentially just adding empty space to the smaller ones or by creating a list of offsets. Whereas if they came all the same size then boom they just work straight off with no additional work required.

I hope I am making some sense, feel free to ask if Im not.

Thanks for the info!

But i think it is just the attack animation that need this, right?

I will update the pack and adjust some things

Cool man, as I said I think it is a good pack, some really nice work. And that adjustment would just make it that bit sweeter.

man soooooo many tiles this will be a laggy game

nah, its just pixel art :P

the code and effects that might lag the game

welllll im creating this prodject in scratch

(2 edits)

and can you also add a bow and text for a text engine in the updates, thanks :D

yeah sure, but that will take some time :(

that will do thanks, its already taking me a year to make my demo!

Just create your levels with a tileset tool(i highly recommend Tiled) and then export those as a whole image instead of individual tiles. You can make layers for things that need collision or are part of the foreground/background

Very nice job, on dash animation it's possible to add some trail behind the hero?

thanks, you can do that yourself because the pack comes with aseprite files or with code.

but if i have time i will add others effects

thx.

What are the pre and pos animations, and thanks for the awesome pack.

(1 edit)

Thank you!

Its just 2 frames for the character, it adds a little "weight" before or after the animation, because the run is a loop.

Aaahhhh...ok, I gotcha.  Thanks for the reply.

these assets are very nice. you have a cool art style

thank you very much <3

can i have a question how you can put asset goal ??

(+1)

creating a sale, then you can put the goal

Understood. I have last question I see that the license for this asset pack falls under that we can't modify it and have to use it as it is. Creative Commons Attribution_NoDerivatives v4.0 International

Will it stay that way? Sometimes when i was building with your assets i had to tweak it a little bit sometimes with art to make it more flexible in usage. Such as implementing custom made special attacks or stuff like that (same goes for ememies)

For example, the metriodvania series you released, I build my game upon the metriodvania asset pack (the free one) and I am planning to use these maps and tiles and items as extension DLC pack, but the art with items and a few thing has a bit of a different style in a few instances (items, npc's etc). I would had to slighty adjust sprite sizes or visual in order to make them match

Sorry about that :(

I just change the pack to Attribution 4.0 International.

Sorry again for the confusion.

No problem thank you!

Probably until the version 2.0.

I will try my best to update the pack on the next month, so that i can start making the Volume 2 as soon as possible.

But sometimes life is hard so i cant promise anything.

The next update will feature new enemies and traps...

Maybe some npcs on the next one...

Thank you for your reply, Understood!

Hi Lobster, while looking in the files I got a bit sad and dissapointed about polytheism being added in some of the sprites. I was planning to finish the support needed for the project incase you didn't reach the goal, but because of this content I am can no longer assist in this due to personal reasons (Unless it might get removed of course then there is no problem) I would appreciate if perhaps those types of topic can be removed in the content production. (I am actually speaking about the "goddess" stuff.

Sorry to dissapoint, but this is my art style, if you feel that a pixel image hurt your feelings, you can simply not use the sprite.

I can add other sprite without the goddess statue, if you like.
